Sancte Michael Archangele,

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio;
contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur:
tuque, Princeps militiae Caelestis,
satanam aliosque spiritus malignos,
qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo,
divina virtute in infernum detrude.
Amen.

Merry Christmas...

... and Peace on Earth to All men of good will!!

Bless the families that are separated. May they be brought together quickly.

Also, don't forget the Holy Souls in Purgatory! More are to be released today than ALL others!

"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."

Happy Advent...

Don't Forget to read the Bible (Nativity narratives), go to confession, & do good deeds.
Also, Welcome to the Revised Roman Missal translation!! (3rd time's the charm!! ;^}D)
Oh, and "BOO" on St Anthony Messenger Press for putting out the missal cheat card that says NOTHING about the breast striking during the Confiteor AND bowing during the Nicene Creed! ;^{/

The American Thinker, always a great read, has an awesome article, The Minority Myth which describes why we are in the predicament we're in!!

Ten Years After...

... I was pulled from the shop floor of OK City ALC because we were told the incredulous news that planes had slammed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and I still wonder if we ever learned a damn thing.

I remember the frustration of not being able to do anything and being forced to be in an Oklahome City Hotel waiting for a way home. I remember cowardice of the people I work for not letting us do our jobs and thereby giving the Islamonazis what they wanted. I remember people claiming to be for this country and doing everything to shaft our leaders and ourselves.

Of course one is remiss if they neglect to mention the 3,000 unborn children killed just be cause they are in the wrong place at the wrong time!

NEVER FORGET!!!

AW NUTS!!!

Today is the Feast of the Ascension. The US bishops decided to "unburden" us peons by moving the celebration to the next Sunday (of course, they still charge $$$$$$$$$$$ for "Catholic" education & support DemonRats who trash the values of the Church whenever possible while using the Church to get votes & kick Prolifers whenever they can...)

I always hate this day because it's an important feast & we are forgetting a part of our Catholic culture. Can't wait till they move Christmas to the nearest Sunday... Opps! Don't want to give them any ideas!!

A good day

Any day is a good day when you find out the death of Osama bin Ladin. I remember when his crew slammed 2 jets into the World Trade Center, one jet into the Pentagon, and were trying to do another one when it crashed into that field in Penn.

We found out last night that the US finally located him in the mansion in Pakistan. He was asked to surrender, but this bad assed terrorist grabbed a wife to use as a shield. (BIG tough guy!)

Now, he succumbed to lead poisoning. Life is tough!

God Bless all the service men who defend us from this scum bucket & God have mercy on his rotten soul.

It's very strange this year...

Good Friday falls on Lenin's birthday, AKA "Earth Day". It feels to me like it means something, but I don't know what. Nor do I want speculate. Ive posted previously on what it means to me.

All I can add on this Good Friday is, "For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world!"

A Belated St. Patrick's & St. Joseph's day to all...

Just spent TOO much time having a good time. But it's been a fun and crazy few days. I'm becoming an internet celebrity via the The Gymanstics WOD:
. Kind of cool.
Unfortunately, with the full moon, people go crazy, but that's life! Went to mass this evening at St. Joes (Ironically, the Irish church in town.). The music was so insipid. They had one song about the rapture. (I thought that was something the so-called Pentecostals invented in the 1800's!) So I thought it would be better to share the following via Pro Ecclesia * Pro Familia * Pro Civitate: "The Deer's Cry" Enjoy!

Another Ash Wednesday...

Didn't get to Mass. Didn't get any ashes. (Thanks Archdiocese of Cincinnati & churches around here who've managed to have ashes given at times I can't get to!) Wasn't able to workout @ CrossFit Wright-Patt. Then my Common Access Card Certificates got wiped in a software upgrade push.

Like the Major said, "It's been a bad day!"

"Dust thou art! And unto dust you shall return”

I find this cool (even though it's about me!)

In early November, I got a DVT, basically two blood clots. They felt like the worst Charley Horse I had ever had. I didn't know I had it but eventually it felt better. I even set some PR's on CrossFit WODs.
That was until my wife saw that my left calf was visibly larger than my right. She had me go to the doctor, who diagnosed the DVT. I had to go spend a night in the hospital & go on blood thinners. Also, my workouts were limited to upper body stuff. I was surprised about how little I could do.
One of the things I worked on was my headstands. I could NEVER go them when I was a teenager. Thanks to Carl Paoli at the Gymnastics WOD, I was able to do it for the first time in my life this year.

Now on 17 Feb, my work Division had a bowling "Wingman day" outing. We HAVE to have these to promote the "Wingman Culture" to prevent us from committing suicide & such. Since I hadn't bowled in about 3 years, I didn't do well.

We had a Division call & the Acting Division Chief put up a slide on the results of the bowling outing which showed that I was the low scorer (for one game even though several other division management "declined" to participate).

After some goading by some people in the Division, I decided to put together a retort, because I'm just sick of being made fun of.

So I asked one of the contractors to take a picture of me in a headstand just as a part of a way to make a statement:

I told the person who took the picture that I wanted to do something "Unusual". She looked at me like I was nuts. But, when I showed her, she thought it was cool and asked if she could use it as part of a "Funny" things at work!

All right, I'm not a great bowler. But there are other things I can do that people my age can't! And that's okay with me!

This is sad and digusting!!

And these slime buckets chide conservatives for "not being civil"?!?!

Conversations with Walker Percy

“Settle for Nothing Less.” (Walker Percy)
Sunday, January 16, 2011 A.D. | Author Christopher Blosser
Q: What kind of Catholic are you?
A: Bad.
Q: No, I mean are you liberal or conservative?
A: I no longer know what those words mean.
Q: Are you a dogmatic Catholic or an open-minded Catholic?
A: I don’t know what that means, either. Do you mean I believe the dogma that the Catholic Church proposes for belief?
Q: Yes.
A: Yes.
Q: How is such a belief possible in this day and age?
A: What else is there?
Q: What do you mean, what else is there? There is humanism, atheism, agnosticism, Marxism, behavioralism, materialism, Buddhism, Muhammadanism, Sufism, astrology, occultism, theosophy.
A: That’s what I mean.
Q: To say nothing of Judaism or Protestantism.
A: Well, I would include them along with the Catholic Church in the whole peculiar Jewish-Christian thing.
Q: I don’t understand. Would you exclude, for example, scientific humanism as a rational and honorable alternative?
A: Yes.
Q: Why?
A: It’s not good enough.
Q: Why not?
A: This life is too much trouble, far too strange, to arrive at the end of it and then to be asked what you make of it and have to answer, “Scientific humanism.” That won’t do. A poor show. Life is a mystery, love is a delight. Therefore I take it as axiomatic that one should settle for nothing less than the infinite mystery and the infinite delight, i.e., God. In fact, I demand it. I refuse to settle for anything less.
